WHAT: Inaugural Meeting of the Steering Committee on Partnership for SIDS meeting. In 2014, the signing of the SAMOA Pathway agreement marked a new era for sustainable development for the world’s Small Island Developing States (SIDS). The roadmap for development was the product of years of on-the-ground experience with development issues and close partnerships with the international community. The Steering committee was created to help ensure the implementation of this vision in on the years to come. The meeting will begin an ongoing conversation about commitments for support that have been made, challenges and gaps that exist, and how to capitalize on best practices to make the most of the partnerships moving forward.
